Tom Selleck’s acting career is about as diverse as it gets. The heartthrob acted in widely popular shows and movies like Magnum, P.I. to Friends to Three Men and a Baby. But before appearing in any of those, he had a short stint playing Jed Andrews in The Young and the Restless.
Selleck’s 6’4” frame also served him well on the court as a basketball player. The fact that he managed to balance playing basketball, joining a fraternity, and working as a model while earning a business degree is just plain ridiculous.
Taye Diggs
Taye Diggs has proved his versatility acting on nearly any possible platform. He has been on film, television, and Broadway. His very first on-screen appearance was in 1997 in the soap opera Guiding Light.
He later acted in some other small roles before reaching his more memorable parts such as Jackson Duper in Ally McBeal or his unforgettable performance in Chicago.
Mark Hamill
Luke Skywalker held various ranks in the Rebel Alliance, but Hamill likely drew at least some inspiration from his father, who was a captain in the United States Navy. The family moved all over the country and even to Japan, where Hamill eventually graduated from high school.
Prior to his Star Wars days, Mark Hamill took various roles in television shows and made-for-tv films. One of those early roles was Kent Murray in General Hospital. We wonder who might have been his inspiration for his soap stint.
Ray Liotta
Ray Liotta's most memorable role was that of Henry Hill in Goodfellas, but it was hardly his first one. His first big role on TV was Joey Perrini in Another World. He did that for an overall of three years, from 1978 until 1981.
He kept playing in smaller roles for ten long years until his Goodfellas run came through and turned him into a household name. He sadly passed away in 2022 before being able to complete his latest project, a film named "Dangerous Waters".
Lisa Rinna
Lisa Rinna and her pouty lips are a soap opera staple. She is known to have played in Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place. Her most recent on-screen activity is being herself in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She met her husband, Harry Hamlin, almost 30 years ago. It was love at first sight. He first laid eyes on her when she worked as an eyeglasses clerk. He calls their movie star marriage a miracle, she says they’re “soulmates” because they’re crazy about each other, and he says they never get tired of each other’s stories. Now is when you say ’aww’.
