Most doorknobs are made from brass. On vintage and old-fashioned doors, they can look great, but when you have an IKEA modern design, the brass characteristics just don’t seem to blend in.
Before you go and change the brass knob you have, remember this: brass destroys bacteria. So basically, these knobs are germ-free. If you have a household full of kids, brass is for you.
P Is For Pringles
This is not really something the product's manufacture gave us, but more of a user upgrade. Pringles are the king of potatoes chips. They are the best of them all, but what happens when your hand just won't fit in the tube?
Simply place a piece of rolled paper into the tube, and there you go—a homemade paper slide for those stubborn pringles at the bottom of the tube.
Originally, the letters on the first-ever typewriter were positioned in alphabetical order. The typists at the time became so good and so fast that the typewriters were worn out too fast.
The manufactures had to think of a way to slow down the typists. They rearranged the letters randomly, and they have remained this way ever since. What would happen if the order of the letters would change again today?
Tab on the Rearview Mirror
We always thought that the tab on the rearview mirror is used to make eye contact with the three Ninjas in the car's back seat. It seems that when you tell a child off when looking straight into his eyes, it has a better effect (or not). The tab on the rearview mirror was designed for something completely different.
It's a safety thing. Drivers can use the tab to push the mirror up or down in order to protect themselves from being blinded by the glare of the cars behind them. This tiny adjustment can save lives.
Legs on an Apple Power Cable
Apple has thought about everything, even giving your power cable legs. At first, we were worried the cable might try to run away, but then we realized why legs were put there in the first place.
The cable can be wrapped around those little plastic flaps, keeping them secured and safe. They are not getting away this time.
