Wedding dresses shouldn’t just be for weddings, you know? There’s no problem with multiple models dressing like brides at the hottest fashion shows in the world. Take this model, for example, who was spotted at Paris Fashion Week in 2023. Here, she can be seen backstage.
The Georges Chakra Haute Couture Spring Summer event of that year was about to kick off and here she was, wearing a pretty wonderful dress. Any prospective bride would at least consider trying this stunning gown on. With a beautiful cape-style train and delightful pattern in the torso area, what’s not to love about this one?
A Marriage Made in Chelsea
You might not be familiar with the British show "Made in Chelsea." Basically, it's about a bunch of young adults who come from very privileged backgrounds and simply show off their lavish lifestyles, all while navigating through their rocky love lives. One cast member who saw his fair share of drama during the show's run was Jamie Laing.
Eventually, though, he managed to find happiness with fellow MIC co-star Sophie Habboo. In the Spring of 2023, the couple finally tied the knot, getting married at the Chelsea Registry Office. And naturally, the two were suited and booted for their big day.
While some cities a more synonymous with fashion shows, such as Paris, New York, and London, these public displays of beauty and dresses are becoming more prevalent throughout the world. This event, the 2023 Oman Wedding Dress Fashion Show, took place in the Gulf state's capital of Muscat. Products from a whopping 18 designers (both local and foreign) were presented to an international audience.
All things wedding-related, including engagement gowns, wedding dresses, evening dresses, and more were being worn by models from all over the world. This included this stunning gown. But the highlight has to be the crown and veil pairing, which just about conceals the model's lower face.
The X-Ray Dress
If we're going to look at this from a traditional point of view, it is worth pointing out the following: In many cultures, wedding dresses have a strange double purpose. On the one hand, they are supposed to make the bride stand out from all other women at the event. But on the other hand, it's supposed to add a certain level of modesty and mystery to the bride. That's why many brides cover up large parts of their bodies and even cover their faces with a veil.
But as far as we can see here, this bride from St. Petersburg, Russia, isn't interested in covering her face for her big day. And while the dress technically covers most of her body, we can still see much of her skin because of the translucent netting style of the top, with just a small floral design to cover up some vital parts.
Pretty in Pink
We think the first thing to address is the image is the color of the wedding dress. Pink! Why did she decide to go with this color instead of traditional white? And then we started thinking - why don't more brides go for a dress that is pink? After all, pink is a pretty standard women's color. Moreover, really light, baby pink is perfect for such an occasion - in our opinion, at least.
This young lady decided to go against the grain and wore pink for her big day. The wedding took place in Ekaterinburg, Russia, and everyone seemed to be very happy for the bride and groom. What we would say is that the bride looks extremely young. With that said, maybe she just has a very youthful face.
