A tenant thought it would be a great idea to not only bring his entire motorcycle inside the apartment complex but also paint the motorcycle using a rattle can.
As one could imagine, there were tiny black dots almost everywhere. This sort of paint is incredibly hard to take off so the dots getting on almost all the surfaces did not help. The carpet was especially the worst of it. The tenant got evicted immediately after seeing his flat.
My Little “Hidden” Pony
A tenant had complained to her landlord about how the house had a sudden water leak. The landlord had come to check to find how the tap built in at the back of the house had been completely detached and there was water exuding everywhere. The landlord had gotten to turn off the water pipe and while fixing the tap, he heard the garden shed trembling.
Lo and behold, there was a pony hidden inside the garden shed! Not exactly the pet you'd expect...
Fleeing the State
A landlord had rented out a three-story house with a single unattached garage. A while after, the landlord finds out from the sheriff's department that the tenants have fled the state. After putting the eviction notice, the tenants call him up to put all their items in storage.
When the landlord arrived at the house, the place had been completely ruined, The interior walls were knocked down. The copper wiring was pulled out of the walls to be sold. The bathroom sink was taken out to be sold. Several extension cords were running up the house's breaker room. The bed had only a mattress and no frame or sheets. Yikes...not exactly home-y.
The tenants had almost immediately stopped paying rent after moving in. The landlord went to their apartment to check up and saw an absolute mess.
There were holes in the walls. The kitchen sink was full of dirty dishes from the past three months. A whole toilet was just missing. There was old KFC food in the fridge. The carpet had been just a mess. The landlord changed the locks and then evicted the tenants after what he could only describe as a horror movie he had seen inside that flat. We're pretty sure the landlord avoided KFC for a while after this.
Plumber’s Putty in the Sink
When this landlady continuously asked her tenant to pay their rent properly, the tenant decided to clog the sinks and bathtub drain with Plumber's putty.
As a result, she had to hire professional contractors to take out a bunch of wet and moldy carpets and even replace the floorboards. As you can imagine, this cost a huge amount of money for the landlady, and she ended up taking this to court. Isn't putty supposed to be fun?
